Studio Policy
At Abstratics, we prioritize clarity and transparency in all our policies to ensure a smooth and hassle-free learning experience for every student. Our policies are designed to offer consistency and flexibility, allowing us to adapt to individual needs while maintaining high-quality service. Whether dealing with fees, missed classes, illness, or unforeseen events, we provide clear guidelines to ensure students are well-informed and supported throughout their learning journey. The following sections detail our approach to these key areas.
Non-Refundable and Non-Adjustable Fees
Once the payment for classes is made, the fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable. This policy applies to all courses offered by Abstratics. We do not issue refunds or allow fee adjustments for any reason once payment has been processed. This approach ensures fairness and consistency for all students, creating a balanced and stable learning environment.
Communication via WhatsApp
At Abstratics, we prioritize clear communication to keep our students informed about any class changes. Whether it’s a schedule change, cancellation, or rescheduled session, we ensure timely updates. We use WhatsApp as a key tool to send instant notifications directly to students' phones, allowing them to receive important information on the go. This helps students stay engaged with their learning without disruptions. By utilizing WhatsApp, we provide the flexibility and confidence for students to adapt to any necessary changes with ease.
Missed Classes
If a student is unable to attend a scheduled class, they will be marked as absent. However, we understand that circumstances can arise, so students can make up for missed classes if there is another suitable session available. Abstratics offers flexibility to ensure that your learning journey continues uninterrupted, even if life gets in the way.
Missed class scenarios:
Personal reasons: Classes missed due to personal commitments or scheduling conflicts cannot be refunded.
Holidays or travel: Similarly, if a student misses classes because of holidays or travel, no refund will be issued, but makeup sessions may be available based on availability.
Illness and Fee Adjustments
At Abstratics, we prioritize the health and well-being of our students. If a student is unable to attend classes due to illness, we will adjust the fee accordingly. While refunds will not be provided for missed sessions, we offer adjustments based on the number of classes missed and the specific circumstances.
Note on illness:
1) If a student is ill for an extended period, we may allow a temporary suspension of classes.
2) For shorter illnesses or absences, students can arrange to attend a makeup session based on availability.
Faculty-Canceled Classes and Makeup Sessions
In rare instances, Abstratics faculty may need to cancel a scheduled class due to unforeseen reasons. If this occurs, a makeup session will be arranged to ensure students do not miss out on their education. We are committed to providing a flexible and student-centered learning environment.
Faculty-related cancellations:
1) In the event of a faculty canceling a class, we will communicate the new session schedule promptly.
2) All makeup sessions will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time for both the instructor and the students.
Studio Closures on Indian National Holidays
Abstratics operates on a fixed schedule, with classes taking place most days of the year. However, the studio will be closed only on Indian National Holidays. Please note that no makeup classes will be available for holidays, and no fee adjustments will be made for these days. Students should plan accordingly to avoid scheduling conflicts.
Respect and Behavior
At Abstratics, we believe in fostering a positive, respectful environment for all. Students are expected to behave appropriately in class and show respect to their instructors, fellow dancers, and the studio space.
Positive Behavior: Disruptive or inappropriate behavior, such as bullying, arguing, or lack of cooperation, is not tolerated. We want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome at Abstratics.
Classroom Etiquette: Students are expected to arrive on time and be ready to participate in class. Late arrivals may not be allowed to join the class if the warm-up has been missed.
Cell Phone Use: We ask that phones be turned off or set to silent during class. If there is an emergency, please inform the instructor beforehand.
Unforeseen Circumstances (Pandemic, Natural Disasters, and More)
In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as a pandemic, natural disaster, political unrest, or terrorism, Abstratics has implemented contingency plans to ensure that classes continue without interruption. If the studio is forced to close due to these circumstances, all scheduled classes will transition to online sessions via Zoom.
Online learning via Zoom:
1) All students will be provided with the necessary tools and resources to continue their learning journey online.
2) Fees will remain due for online sessions, and no refunds will be issued during these times.
3) This ensures that students' progress is maintained, even during challenging times. Once restrictions are lifted or normalcy is restored, Abstratics will resume in-person classes.
Photography and Social Media
At Abstratics, we occasionally capture photos and videos during classes, events, and performances to showcase the energy and creativity of our students. These images may be used in promotional materials, including our website, social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube), and print advertisements.
By attending classes, you give Abstratics permission to use photos and videos in which you appear for marketing purposes. We aim to highlight the positive atmosphere and growth within our studio. However, we understand that some individuals may not want to be featured in such content. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please inform the instructor before class begins. We will make every effort to honor your request and ensure that no images or videos of you are used.
Health Protocol
At Abstratics, your health and safety are our top priority. We believe that maintaining good physical health is essential for fully participating in our dance classes. To ensure a safe environment for everyone, we encourage students to inform their instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, or health concerns before class begins. If you are unsure about your physical readiness, we strongly recommend consulting a doctor for medical clearance before engaging in any dance activities. In the event of an injury during class, our trained instructors will provide immediate first aid and assist in managing the situation. If necessary, we will help arrange further medical attention to ensure the well-being of the student. At Abstratics, we are committed to keeping our students safe while enjoying their dance experience.
